Sphere Gap System Details

1. The sphere gaps can be used for Impulse, AC, or DC voltage calibration according to the IEC 60052 recommendation.
2. Provides direct and straightforward voltage measurement with ±3% accuracy, determined by sphere diameter and distance.
3. Both spheres are mounted on insulating columns in a horizontal arrangement, allowing superimposition of impulse, AC, and DC voltages for special tests.
4. The sphere gap can be optionally equipped with the LQ Z chopping device for lightning impulse chopping.
5. Designed specifically for indoor operation, with spheres made of highly polished copper within tight manufacturing tolerances.
6. The horizontal design includes an adjusting gear with a hand-wheel and precision scale (accuracy 0.5 mm) for easy adjustment of the sphere gap.
7. The vertical motorised design is available and includes an automated sphere drive for precise adjustments.
